What is it?This is a pre-wired stratocaster wiring harness upgrade for American or Mexican Fender Stratocasters with 3 pickups. Hand wired with the highest quality parts and cleanest solder connections from a professional guitar tech. This wiring harness will give you the clearest signal possible with even and balanced volume/tone roll off. The bottom tone is wired to work for the middle and bridge pickups (a stock strat does not have tone for the bridge). This harness features 300k volume and tone pots in place of the standard 250k. 300k pots allow a little more high end to come through the signal producing a brighter and more vibrant tone. What is it?Hand-wired 1961-68 era accurate Fender Stratocaster wiring harness upgrade for American or Mexican Fender Stratocasters. Hand wired with the highest quality parts and clean solder connections from a professional guitar tech. -This wiring set up features CTS Dish Back 250k Vintage style potentiometers, a .1mfd Dime ceramic disc capacitor, a U.S.A. made CRL 3-way switch and vintage style pull back cloth wire. Like the Strats from the 60’s, the bridge pickup has no tone control.-Wired to vintage 60’s spec with a master volume, the middle tone controls the neck pickup and the bottom tone controls the middle pickup. There is no tone for the bridge pickup.-The CTS vintage style pots have a shorter threaded bushing designed for a stratocaster pickguard. The backs of the pots have the ‘dish back’ indent like many of the pots used in the 50’s and 60’s.-The U.S.A. CRL 3-way switch was the main pickup selector in the Strats in the 50’s and 60’s. Fender switched to the 5 way switch in the mid 70’s. If you prefer a 5 way switch, feel free to send me a message.-The .1uf ceremic disc capacitor affects a wider sweep on the the high and mid frequencies. When the tone is all the way up on 10 you will notice the sound is a little warmer with slightly rounded off highs. When the tone is almost all the way rolled back it produces a warm, creamy, fuzzy tone. The .1uf cap was originally used in old teles to try to emulate the tone of a bass guitar.
