JJB Electronics VOLJACK Universal passive volume control system

Are you looking for a quick and easy way to add an easily accessible volume control to your guitar? Look no further! The Voljack solves some very common issues that many musicians are faced with. Many pickup systems (such as our Prestige-330) do not come with onboard volume controls. Additionally, there are many musicians out there that have no interest in adding controls to their instruments either by drilling holes or otherwise installing more hardware than is needed. Your strap stays in place on the existing end pin jack. There are no modifications. Simply plug the Voljack into the output jack of your guitar and plug your guitar cord into the jack on the bottom of the Voljack. The Voljack is specifically designed to keep the output jack and guitar cord positioned pointing downward towards the floor. This can help to protect your guitar. Should you step on the guitar cord, the downward pointing plug can disengage from the Voljack much more easily than it normally could if the cable were plugged into an endpin jack in the normal fashion. Additionally, the fact that the Voljack positions the guitar cable in a downward facing position relieves the strain that would normally be put on your jack by the weight of the cable. The Voljack will work with just about any modern pickup system on the market. Each enclosure is individually manufactured using a very lightweight material that is durable enough to last for many years. The face plate is machined from a solid piece of polished aluminum. Unlike other similar devices on the market that are thrown together using an “off the shelf” abs project box, this one will really stand out. We didn’t cut corners! You can fully expect it to be noticed by your fellow musicians!

Artist Series Prestige-110 Ukulele Pickup System From JJB Electronics

These are built using very high quality 20mm piezo’s, which is what we have found to be the best suited for a Ukulele. These can be used with or without a preamp with fantastic results. This system is available with an optional, discreet, thumbwheel style volume control. This can be selected by using the drop-down menu above. This is typically mounted just inside the soundhole, or under the pickguard in mandolin applications. The volume control is easily installed by use of a durable, pre-applied, 3M double stick adhesive tape. If you select this option, you will also be provided with a self-adhering cable mount to help with cable management within the instrument. This system utilizes a single piezo configuration. Due to the small scale of a Ukulele, a single piezo configuration like this one is more than sufficient to pick up the full range of the instrument. If you are shopping for a pickup for your baritone ukulele, you might consider our Prestige-220 system due to the larger scale of this instrument. These special surface transducers are under less pressure than under saddle pickups thus decreasing the likelihood of them transmitting a percussive or harsh sound. The piezo is designed to pick up the resonance found in a significant amount of thesoundboard. These do not “fade” or distort at high volume or with high-power systems. The highs are crystal clear while the lows are, what they should be, low! All of our products feature quality components and construction. These utilize a nickel plated premium ¼ endpin jack that is of equal quality to those manufactured by Switchcraft. These, like all of our systems, can be installed in about an hour. The single piezo configuration is a very straight-forward and easy to install system. They are a very simple and inexpensive means of turning your acoustic instruments in to acoustic electric. Please don’t let the price fool you!

These can be used with or without a preamp with fantastic results. It utilizes four surface mount transducers to deliver a natural reproduction of sound from your classical guitar. This results in a very wide frequency range and very natural reproduction of sound. The four-piezo configuration offers a few advantages over other piezo systems. Having four piezo’s affords you the opportunity to place them at four different points on the soundboard thus resulting in an improved dynamic range dueto the fact that they transmit the resonance found at several points. These special surface transducers are under less pressure than under saddle pickups thus decreasing the likelihood of them transmitting a percussive or harsh sound. Each piezo is designed to pick up the resonance found in a significant amount of the soundboard. These do not “fade” or distort at high volume or with high-power systems. Artist Series Prestige-220 Pickup System From JJB Electronics

Our Prestige-220 pickup system works very well in smaller scale (parlor/travel) steel string guitars. They are also very popular as an internally mounted mandolin system as well as in larger scale ukulele’s such as tenors and baritones. It’s a very versatile system for a wide range of applications. This system is now available with an external mounting kit. This can be selected by using the drop-down menu above. We realize that not everyone’s application is the same. Sometimes it’s impossible to access the inside of an instrument for installation (such as in the case of a Mountain Dulcimer). This kit enables you to mount the system externally. It also allows you to be able to easily remove it and install it on a different instrument. The items included in this kit are as follows reusable putty discs for mounting the transducers, 3M double-stick discs for a more semi-permanent installation of the transducers, a jack mount that attaches to a screw-in type strap button, and a self-stick jack mount that can be applied to anywhere, on any instrument. The self-stick clip uses removable, non-damaging double sided adhesive tape. Please note that we do not have an option to add both the volume control and an external mounting kit. We feel that this would make for a very “busy” install with lots of wires in sight. However, if you would like this option, just drop us an email and we would be happy to help. These are built using very high quality 20mm piezo’s. The dual 20mm configuration is designed to pick up the full range in most any acoustic stringed instrument. It utilizes a double surface transducer design. This results in a wide frequency range and very natural reproduction of sound. The two-piezo configuration offers a few advantages over single piezosystems. Having two piezo’s affords you the opportunity to place them at two different points on the soundboard thus resulting in an improved dynamic range due to the fact that they transmit the resonance found at more than one point. These special surface transducers are under less pressure than under saddle pickups thus decreasing the likelihood of them transmitting a percussive or harsh sound. Each piezo is designed to pick upthe resonance found in a significant amount of the soundboard. These do not “fade” or distort at high volume or with high-power systems. If you select this option, you will also be provided with a self-adhering cable mount to help with cable management within the instrument. The 15mm configuration is designed for more resonant guitars or ones with thinner soundboards. Both systems have a very similar tone but the smaller system provides a little less output than the bigger sized system. In many cases this slight difference is negated by the higher resonance of a smaller bridgeplate. As a general rule of thumb, if you have a mid-gradeor better, solid top, steel string acoustic guitar, the 15mm option is likely to be your best option. The 20mm size is the best option for 12 string guitars as well as high-string setups. Either size can be used with or without a preamp with fantastic results. This system utilizes a triple surface transducer design. This results in a very wide frequency range and very natural reproduction of sound. The three-piezo configuration offers a few advantages over single and double piezo systems. Having three piezo’s affords you the opportunity to place them at three different points on the soundboard thus resulting in an improved dynamic range due to the fact that they transmit the resonance found at more than one point. These special surface transducers are under less pressure than under saddle pickups thus decreasing the likelihood of them transmitting a percussive or harsh sound. Each piezo is designed to pick up a string pair as well as the resonance found in a significantamount of the soundboard. These do not fade or distort at high volume or with high-power systems.
